On June 23, we warmly invite you to join us in celebrating the shortest night of the year – Līgo Festival on the beach of Baltic Beach Hotel & SPA!
Experience the beauty of authentic Latvian traditions – learn how to weave traditional flower crowns and greet the Līgo night wearing your very own handmade wreath! And of course, it wouldn’t be Līgo without something delicious – try your hand at making traditional Latvian cheese.
The evening’s mood and atmosphere will be brought to life by hosts Laima Sam and Mārtiņš Kanters, who will guide you through ancient Līgo rituals and keep the evening lively, mythical, and fun. Music will be provided by the folk band Kūzols and musical group Vectēva papirosi.

15:00 – 18:00: Līgo Warm-Up – Various workshops and a local crafts market
21:00 – 00:00: Līgo Festival with Kūzols and Vectēva papirosi
21:30: Traditional Bonfire Lighting Ceremony with the Ogres Dance Club
From Midnight until Morning: Dancing, singing, and joyful celebration by the sea

I don’t even know where the best place is. (in Latvia) It seemed expensive when making the reservation, but it was worth it. The kitchen is super, the interior is beautiful, the baths are fresh and hot.
